Most of our clients are not sure where the holes are in the hull. Whether your need is in Discovery (initial search), Purchase Funnel, Completion or in receiving a positive the Customer Testimonial, we have the “New Set of Eyes” to uncover faults.
Meet Founder John Fidi
I established GO LIVE DESIGN CO back in 1996, Go Live Design was born by chance and out of necessity. At the time, I was a 23 year old “retired” Hartford Business Journal print ad salesman turned local candle maker.
We have a simple focus: let the coding nerds do their job but keep them away from the marketing funneling website. Sales guys can’t code and coders can’t sell. Sounds so very simple but no business actually does it.
In 2020, amid the Covid pandemic, we shifted our focus into Customer Experience Analysis & Sales Experience Analysis.
We saw the need for growing businesses to gain an outsider’s take on the ENTIRE Customer Experience- from inception (online searching and review reading) to purchase. We bring an ease to the customer service experience with our recommendations based on decades of knowledge.
During these months and to this day, every click mattered and even the smallest mistake could lead to a sour experience. Whether it’s due to a bad interaction with customer service staff; a salesperson; or with a company’s website, we can pinpoint any shortcomings to improve your customer’s experience.
Today we are proud to service clients across many industries from Car Sales to Restaurants to Retail and eCommerce.

Our Story
So how did Go live Come About?
The GoLive timeline in John’s Words:
I’ve had a crazy wild ride. I dropped out of college because I came to the realization that my professor in “business” was wrong about many things he was teaching. I was already selling alarm systems and making ridiculous money for an 18 year old. I couldn’t spend it fast enough. I realized that this “professor’ was just a failed business owner. As a type-A extrovert, I was always debating him on his insight. Even at 18, I knew he was wrong. I was learning how to run and market a business from a guy that failed at running and marketing a business. So I simply stopped going to college. I didn’t tell my parents, but my father eventually figured it out. That was an interesting day.
1991 – Graduated high school at Southington High School in Southington, CT
1991 to 1993 – Worked in telesales for Talcott Security Systems in Bloomfield, CT while attending college. Recruited to Safe Home Security to run a guerilla marketing- like lead generation program before being recruited as the Vice President of Residential Sales for Sonitrol Security Systems in Hartford, CT.
1994 – Became bored with the alarm business, cashed out my retirement ($2000), and opened Rocky Hill Candle Company in Rocky Hill, CT. Taught myself to build websites and built my first website to sell candles online.
1995 – Failed as a candle maker. Forced to contact a headhunter that was pestering me so I could make a living. Two cars repossessed, evicted from my pretty 3/2 House on Oak Hill Rd, had to move back in with my parents, and started driving my dad’s 1991 Caprice Classic.
1996 – Recruited as a sales manager for the Hartford Business Journal working for one of the best sales managers ever, Bill “The Boat” Lambot. Being a cocky 23 year old, I expected to be given hand- picked leads. That didn’t happen so I had to either cold call or find a way to drum up business. On day one, I was reading old issues and noticed many previous advertisers were currently not advertising. I called my first client (Fox Integrity Graphics in Bloomfield, CT) and set up my first appointment to sell ads. In training, I remember “The Boat” talking about a 15% discount for media buys from ad agencies. Let’s just say Fox Integrity signed a $52,000 advertising contract that included a website during the infancy of the internet, monthly back cover ads, and a small sponsorship to the 40 Under 40 event. Go Live Design Co was born. I will never forget walking into “The Boat”s office and handing him a $50,000 contract and him asking “Who the hell is “Go Live Design Co?”.
That was the beginning of this crazy journey.
